“It was meaningful for me to see how much my soldiers accomplished during Operation Guardian of the Walls,” Second Lt. Simcha, a commanding officer in the IDF Search and Rescue Brigade, said.

Last week, Lt. Simcha led a company of soldiers who were in basic training to hospitals around Israel.

There, they tended to Israeli civilians affected by the heaviest rocket fire launched from the Gaza Strip since 2014.
