President Isaac Herzog spoke with the King of Bahrain, the King of Jordan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, the President of Türkiye, the PA Chairman, and other Muslim leaders and wished them a happy Ramadan as the Muslim holy month in which people fast in the day time begins on Wednesday.
President Herzog also spoke with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of the Republic of Albania, the President of the Republic of Senegal, and the President of the Republic of Kosovo.
In his phone calls with these leaders, the President expressed his hopes for peace and stability in the region and wished them and their people a Ramadan that will bring them peace, happiness, and health.
The President also sent festive letters to many other leaders in honor of Ramadan, including the King of Morocco and the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in which he wrote: “The blessed month of Ramadan celebrates values that are very close to my heart. These values—of love for one’s neighbor, charity and support for the weak, and tolerant discourse—are core values that I promote all year round. As you embark upon this month, I pray that we can take shared steps down the path of peace together in the coming year too.”
