The IDF keeps moving south. This move will allow for the expansion of the city Rishon LeZion east into prime real estate. This is a Win-Win but also a great "win" for the Negev!

After extensive staff work led by the Ministry of Defense, this evening members of the Rishon Lezion City Council, headed by Mayor Raz Kinstlich, approved an outline agreement to evacuate part of "Range 24." 

As part of the agreement, the Ministry of Defense will vacate an area of thousands of dunams in western Rishon Lezion and a wide coastal strip. The evacuation will allow the construction of thousands of housing units, commercial and employment areas.
