Journalist Eren Bali tweeted:

"Southeast Turkey was hit by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that lasted 90 seconds. Over 100 buildings were reported to have collapsed in my home town alone (Malatya)." His tweet came with a video of a Mosque clearly with heavy damage.

Meanwhile, in Syria, similar reports are coming, but again, due to the war, the situation right now is too chaotic to report on.
