Syrian Division 4 makes a living: Stealing cables and selling them

The Assad government announced the shutdown of communications services in a number of neighborhoods in the capital Damascus due to "cable theft." It turned out that Division 4 personnel looted copper cables in order to sell them.

The Syrian telecom company told the newspaper Al-Watan that the theft of several copper cables that supply the al-Qadam hotline in Damascus, led to the suspension of the communications service in the territories.

It should be noted that the commander of "Division 4" is none other than Maher al-Assad - the brother of Bashar Assad.
