According to the commander of the Nahal Brigade's training base, Lt. Col. Werner, the scope of recruitment has increased significantly. In a conversation with Walla!, Werner talks about the process of absorbing the new recruits, which includes training in fighting with advanced methods, controlling the quality of food, dealing with the approval of growing the elderly, and weaning the novices from using phones.
The combat recruitment cycle in August 2021 became one of the largest in recent years, after the IDF added an assault company to all infantry battalions.
Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Gil Werner, commander of the Nahal Brigade's training base, says in an interview with Walla!
"The motivation is growing according to our data. In the current cycle, all the infantry brigades were expanded by exposure-attack companies (fighters whose job it is to locate and attack a hidden enemy in buildings, tunnels and tangle)". He added that the volume of recruitment for infantry has increased compared to last year, without compromising motivation.
Werner also says that the process of training the recruits for combat begins two weeks after their absorption in the divisional training base, using advanced training methods and the rapid learning ability of the youth.
