Mazal tov to the 696 Border Police fighters who received their green berets last night at the Western Wall in Jerusalem after completing their difficult Masa Kumta (Beret march).

They consist of males, females, Jews, Druze, Muslim Arabs, and Christian Arabs. An extra well done goes out to the Arabs as they volunteer to serve, it is not mandatory, so well done for doing the right thing and for choosing to risk your life in defence of the citizens of the Jewish state.

In a few weeks, the new fighters are expected to complete their training and join the corps units operating throughout the country, in the fight against terrorism, riots, serious crime in cities and rural areas.
