The committee for Palestinian society in parliament convened today (Thursday). The Israeli Police had informed the committee that Palestinians residing in Israel currently have between 8,000-10,000 illegal weapons. Head of the committee, Mansour Abbas added that at the end of the discussion, authorities must balance between the need to enforce the law to give opportunity for people to express their positions. This statement sparked tensions in the meeting. MK Orit Strouk told Abbas he should be ashamed. She mentioned, "Most do not have access to violent instigators - we are requesting intimidating approach."
