Hezbollah entices Syrian workers to grow drugs in Syria's Homs province

"The Orient" has learned that the Hezbollah militia is taking advantage of the poverty and harsh economic conditions in areas controlled by its ally Assad in Syria to attract civilians to work in growing the narcotic "hashish" in the area of the city of Kotzier that it has taken over in the Homs countryside.

This reveals the extent of the spread of this plague on all its dangers in Syrian territory, as drugs are the main source of funding for Iran’s militias.

Sources noted that the proposal includes teenagers, women and people under legal age, who will be transferred to the al-Qusair-controlled militias near the Lebanese border to work on cannabis cultivation and harvesting and other tasks related to production and transportation, in exchange for wages ranging from 15,000 to 25,000 Syrian pounds per day.
