Watching the Temple Burn

For many years now, it has become a tradition in israel to visit Herodion National Park on the night of Tisha B'Av (happening tomorrow night), the Jewish mourning day for the destruction of both Temples.

The Herodian is famous for being one of the last front holds in the Jewish revolt against the Romans and the place from which the Jewish fighters were able to watch the Temple in Jerusalem burn.
