Yaser Mazhar, the Director of the Communications Department of the Muhjat Al-Quds Foundation, was interviewed on Al-Quds Al-Youm TV (Islamic Jihad - Gaza), which is headquartered in Lebanon. Mazhar and the show host, Majed Al-Babili, discussed the 1996 suicide bombing at Dizengoff Center in Tel Aviv that killed 13 people and injured 130 others. 

Saying that the Islamic Jihad had carried out the operation, they praised the terrorist and terrorists who have carried out similar attacks, and Mazhar said that martyrdom operations bring a lot of joy to the Palestinian people. 

He recalled how Palestinians have handed out sweets throughout their provinces in celebration of terrorist attacks, and he called on Palestinians in the West Bank to carry out terrorist attacks in Israel. 

TV Host Majid Al-Babili: "When we discuss an operation like the [1996] Dizengoff Street [suicide bombing in Tel Aviv]... This is a notorious street as far as the Zionists are concerned, because many heroic operations were carried out on that street – stabbings, bombings, shootings, and other operations... This Islamic Jihad operation, which was carried out there by Ramez Abid, was one of the most brutal operations that were carried out against the sons of the apes and pigs [i.e. the Jews]. Thirteen Zionist soldiers were killed in this operation. Let's discuss the virtues of the martyr Ramez Abid, to whom you were close."

Yaser Mazhar: "The martyr Ramez Abid arrived in the Tel Aviv area and went to the site of the operation – to the café or dance hall on Dizengoff Street. He did not enter the site of the attack, because the Israeli security guards that were there were suspicious of him. However, he blew himself up at the entrance to the Dizengoff [Mall]. This explosion killed 13 Zionist soldiers (innocent Jews at the mall - Ed.)and injured over 130 settlers (This is what the call all Israelis - ed.) who were in the area."

TV Host Majid Al-Babili: "Let's discuss the impact such martyrdom operations have had on the Palestinians. What was the impact of such Jihadi, high-profile, heroic, and exceptional operations? We talked about it before the show. When we were kids, such operations would fill our hearts with joy. The Palestinian people have gotten used to operations of this kind and have been longing for them. What is the psychological impact these operations have on the Palestinian people?"

Yaser Mazhar: "These operations for sure would bring joy to every Palestinian home, to every young Palestinian, to every Palestinian woman, and to every person who had been tortured by the Zionist enemy. They would bring joy to the prisoners in the jails of the occupation. They would bring joy into the homes of the oppressed and to the families of the martyrs. Every time an operation was carried out, the Palestinians would hand out sweets.

"For example, I remember that after the operations carried out by Khaled Al-Khatib the hero, by Hesham Muhammad, by Ramez Abid, and by every martyr, sweets were handed out everywhere, in all the provinces. This was done because of the great joy that these operations brought to the hearts of the Palestinian people. We are a nation that is united behind the Palestinian resistance. This isn't new. This has been the case since the occupation of Palestine, and there is unity behind the Palestinian resistance. The national movement sacrificed hundreds of thousands of martyrs in the defense of Palestine and the Palestinian soil. As for operations of this sort today, we are longing for the bombings of buses, and martyrdom operations inside the Zionist entity. Through your honorable TV channel, we call upon our brothers in the West Bank to bring back the past glory and carry out martyrdom operations inside the Zionist entity."
