NEWSRAEL: There have been many reports, both reported on, and others in "whispers" that one important outcome of the Houthi attack on Abu Dhabi is the further strengthening of UAE's newest friend, Israel. PM Bennett announced that Israel will do all it can to help the Gulf states form the Iranian threats made through Yemen. The question is - how? Will Israel, for instance give them the Iron Dome?
Dubai is indeed worried. Since the attack on targets in Abu Dhabi on Monday, apparently by the Houthis from Yemen, the U.S. Air Force (along with Saudi Arabia) has stepped up bombings on Sanaa, the Yemeni capital. But this could cost the Gulf state dearly.
Hassan Elazi, a senior Houthi official, warned that if the massive attacks on Sana'a continued, his organization would aim its ballistic missiles and UAVs at the Burj al-Khalifa tower, the most famous building in Dubai which is also a world-class tourist attraction.
It is not clear if this is an idle threat or a serious threat but it seems that the authorities in Dubai are taking seriously and have increased the security measures, according to reports.
Burj al-Khalifa was inaugurated 12 years ago. It is the tallest building in the world - 828 meters high and it has 200 floors including observation posts that attract millions of visitors every year.
