Tel Aviv University has made it into the top ten in the ranking of universities with the most start-up entrepreneurs.
The financial data company PitchBook examined the universities of the world according to the number of graduates who raised money from venture capital funds (seed stage raising, first in start-up fundraising) between January 2006 and October 2021. Among ten prestigious universities, TAU ranked in eighth place during this period with over 900 entrepreneurs. The Technion also shines and came in 12th place. In Israel in general and in the Tel Aviv area in particular, there is a high concentration of start-up entrepreneurs because Israel is one of the most educated countries in the West.
