The Western woke Left continue to hail “diversity,” decry “Islamophobia,” and shut down what it considers to be offensive speech regarding Islam. Meanwhile, human rights abuses and sufferings sanctioned by Islamic texts continue to be rampant in the Islamic world. Women and minorities suffer the most.

A prominent Iranian female human rights activist was sentenced to over eight years in jail and 70 lashes. Narges Mohammadi was arrested in November “after she attended memorial for a victim of violent 2019 protests.” As usual, the Iranian regime invented charges to justify her arrest. She was accused of “spying for Saudi Arabia.”

Jail isn’t new to Narges Mohammadi. She has already done time “at Iran’s notorious Gharchak Prison for her peaceful activism.”

You don’t hear Western woke Leftists advocating for her, but you do hear them defending the Islamic veil and screaming “Islamophobia” in unison with Islamic supremacist groups whenever discussions arise that don’t present Islam as a “religion of peace.”

Iran has been intensifying “efforts to squash growing dissent…. by imprisoning activists and human rights attorneys after grossly unfair trials, shooting to kill protesters in the street, imposing death sentences on dissidents and protesters, and causing the death of political prisoners by egregiously neglecting their medical needs.”

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran has sentenced a prominent human rights activist to more than eight years prison, according to her husband.

Paris-based Taghi Rahmani tweeted on Sunday that his wife, Narges Mohammadi, was tried in five minutes and sentenced to prison and 70 lashes. He has said she is prohibited from communicating and has no access to lawyers. Last week, she was sent to Gharchak prison near Tehran.
