MK Ophir Katz intends to submit a bill to increase punishment for child abusers

"Today a child abuser was sentenced to 9.5 years in prison. I have been fighting alongside the parents for two and a half years, parents who have not slept one whole night since what she did to their children and to them".

"Justice is done, but there are still countless flaws in the system, I am exposed to them on a daily basis. I solemnly pledge to make a change, and I will stand by it. I will not stop fighting - I will pass this new bill to aggravate punishment for abusers, I will continue to address the shortcomings of law enforcement systems in the field and I will cover the issue at all times. We must prevent this from ever happening again."
