Jewish businessmen from the Kavkazi community outside of Israel say "no political or other pressure will affect their desire to purchase land in East Jerusalem."
Recently, it has been reported that there is a growing interest among Jewish businessmen from the Kavkazi community in the commandment to redeem the land- with the purchase of land from Arabs in East Jerusalem.
Israeli businessman Baruch Leviev, who is behind some of these initiatives, says that immediately after the publications, the same businessmen received political pressure from radical left-wing elements in Israel and Russia, who tried to persuade them to drop the idea.
According to him, not only did they not give in, they believe in the biblical commandment of the redemption of the land, and they continue to be interested in projects.
