The Left in Israel celebrates: "Good luck Lapid, my prime minister"

After about a year of attempts to maintain a stable unity government and incessant power struggles between the opposition and the coalition - the 24th Knesset voted today (Thursday) in favor of its dissolution.

This decision heralds not only another round of elections on the way, but also the fact that from midnight Yair Lapid will become Prime Minister of Israel and Naftali Bennett will become the Deputy Prime Minister.

On the left, they are celebrating the appointment of the incoming prime minister - Yair Lapid. "The Prime Minister of Israel, Yair Lapid - my friends and partners," tweeted Meretz chairman Nitzan Horowitz. "We are with you. Strong and courageous. "His party partner Tamar Zandberg also greeted:" Good luck Yair Lapid, my prime minister. "

MK Michal Rosin (Meretz) also sent her congratulations: "Good luck to incoming Prime Minister Yair Lapid and thank you to outgoing Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. Thank you for a year of statehood and finding the common ground and not the divider and the party.
