People are beginning to ask: What is the meaning of the restraint on our part in recent days against the Iranians and against arms smuggling, even though the other side still continues to get dirty and smuggle in a big way?
Does Israel perhaps think that the Iranians have repented?
Are there disagreements between the active side of the government and the passive side that aligns with the US position not to interfere in the talks?
Are Americans preventing us from doing what is required through heavy pressure?
Is Israel afraid that further attacks this time could provoke an Iranian / Syrian response unlike in the past?
Or maybe Israel is waiting for the next few days when the Russians set Ukraine on fire and divert attention to that sector which could make it easier for us to act independently or jointly with the US?
The military commentator of the Nziv website claims in light of these questions as follows:
What restraint? Where is the restraint? Have we forgotten two accurate and painful attacks in Latakia?
After an attack on the sea route the Iranians are re-examining the air route, which, of course, is much slower.
As long as arms transfers continue, it will be thwarted while in Syria as in recent years. Some immediately upon landing and some accumulate in warehouses and take to the air at a time convenient to Israel. Why waste jet fuel to handle each shipment individually when you can let them accumulate weapons in warehouses and attack at once?
There is no connection between attacks in Syria and talks in Vienna. The Americans do not restrict or link things, even the Russians already allow more than before.
Attacks in Syria or in the region are carefully planned with a comprehensive view and a deep understanding of the Iranian moves and therefore there is no point in analyzing and conspiracies on a two-week or more break in the attacks. There have already been such breaks of a month or more.
Israel is not afraid of attacks, certainly not of an Iranian response. On the contrary, as I have already mentioned, there are those who even expect and hope for such a response attempt to strike more forcefully (Operation "House of Cards") but the Iranians remain cowards and rabbits and continue to snatch painful attacks and seek new smuggling routes, leaks, agents, and ghosts.
