A few days after she was crowned "Miss Morocco", and was thus supposed to represent her country in the "Miss Universe" competition to be held in Israel, Fatma a-Zahraa 'Khyat transferred the title to her first deputy, 22-year-old Khotar Benhalima, who was born in Marrakesh. 

To all conspiracy theorists, the queen explained that she was suffering from an ankle sprain. She did not explain how she was injured and under what circumstances.

Khyat, 26, explained to her followers on Instagram that the injury would not allow her to attend the competition that will take place in Israel on December 12.

Khyat, who lives in France, won the title of Miss Morocco for 2021, after beating 16 contestants in a competition held just last Saturday in Casablanca.
