We have been in contact with Dr. Mike Evans who lives in the area - he says police have closed off all the streets to the synagogue where a Pakistani man is holding it seems hostages inside and has threatened them with harm if the police come closer.

22:02: A live feed was being aired on Facebook. No one was in the room with the video, but voices could be heard. It has now been closed down.

22:06: Hostage-taker at Texas synagogue, heard on livestream: "If anyone tries to enter this building, I’m telling you… everyone will die”

22:14: Update on the event at the Texas Synagogue The suspect is holding at least 6 hostages in the synagogue. According to reports the suspect's sister is a convicted terrorist sitting in jail. (unconfirmed at this time)

22:22: Before the live stream was cut off 20 mins ago, the hostage-taker was asking to speak to his sister, who is in federal prison. FBI and SWAT are at the scene

22:24: The terrorist's sister is Afia Sidiki, (a Pakistani scientist) a terrorist who was convicted of attempting to harm American soldiers.
