Here is yet another manifestation of the culture of violence that arises from religious texts which sanction the beating of disobedient women (Qur’an 4:34).
“Regina G. (58) can only say one word,” translated from “Regina G. (58) kann nur noch ein Wort sagen,” by Alina Gröning, Bild, January 17, 2022:
Berlin – It was just a few seconds that were enough to destroy a family’s life. An incredible assassination attempt out of nowhere…?
The random victim is called Regina G. (58). Now her son is collecting donations to give his mother the best possible treatment – and give her back some normalcy.?
? Flashback: It’s September 4, 2021 at around 1:30 p.m. Regina G. volunteers to tend the flower beds on a quiet residential street in Berlin’s Wilmersdorf district. Suddenly Abdul Malik A. (29) attacks her from behind and stabs her in the neck several times with a knife.
The Afghan refugee injures the hobby gardener so badly that the doctors have to put her in a coma.?
The shocking diagnosis: The main artery, which supplies the left side of the brain with blood, was irreparably damaged during the attack. She suffers a severe cerebral infarction, after which most of the left side of the brain dies. Regina G. loses the ability to speak and is paralyzed on one side.?
Trigger for the madness: The refugee disliked the fact that she worked as a woman.
When the police took Abdul Malik H. away, the arrested man told an officer that he had “sent Regina G. to paradise.” “Women should not work.”?
Her son Amer Hamzeh, who is organizing the campaign, writes on the gofundme donation platform: “The fanatic who told the police that he wanted to ‘send my mother to paradise’ didn’t know that my mother was in the middle of it to make the world a better place.”
