The Syrian news network - "Syrian correspondent" documented the number of officers lost by the regime's forces during 2021, which reveals the magnitude of the military losses in the ranks of the regime even though many military fronts, compared to recent years, are inactive.

The local Syrian group of reporters published today on its website the results of the militia's losses over the past year, which totaled 250 officers, including a number of "princes" officers, accompanied by their photos, military rank, circumstances and places of killing, in "Infographics" presentations. It contains (42) names and pictures of officers in various ranks from the rank of general to the rank of lieutenant, in sequence according to their rank and the date on which they were killed.

The activist team noted that this figure is not final or accurate, but is based on what was documented in the regime's unofficial media on social media, in which the documentation was based on the publication of approved information about the killing of security personnel, especially their names, photos and locations. 

The percentage of military casualties in the Assad militia ranks, especially at the officer level, has increased miraculously over the past year, and the causes of their deaths ranged from large-scale military attacks in various parts of the country, to death under mysterious circumstances or illness.

Road accidents and infection with the "corona" virus were also among the prominent causes of mourning awareness of security personnel published in the loyal media to the government, who were forced to publish the names of officers and soldiers killed while noticing military attacks on the front lines in Deraa, Bedia, Idlib and Aleppo.
