The Paratrooper brigade conducted training in a village in Cyprus, trying to figure out how to confront Hezbollah fighters in the villages, bring them out of hiding and force them to fight face to face. The task is physically demanding, but it is also a battle of minds. In the background: Nasrallah's threats intended to prevent Israel from pumping gas at the Shark gas rig
The paratrooper’s brigade marched from the area of the Cypriot coast towards the forested area a small village of about 2,000 inhabitants.
The village, at an altitude of 300 m above sea level, is surrounded by mountains with natural forest and cliffs. A few months ago a mock combat site for the IDF was built to look like a village in southern Lebanon where Hezbollah is a stronghold. Inside the rooms, soldiers who played the part of enemy troops hid.
It was here that the IDF had to climb, maneuver and fight, as if they were in Lebanon facing the Hezbollah.
