Report: Sabotage Attempt to IAEA Facility in Iran Foiled

An attempt to sabotage an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Iran was thwarted, the pro-Iranian broadcaster PTV reported Wednesday, citing security sources.

No further details were relayed and Iranian authorities have yet to confirm the report.

Over the last several years, several mysterious explosions and other methods of damage have occurred in Iranian nuclear sites, including two in the uranium enrichment facility in Natanz in the last 12 months.

Tehran has pointed the finger at Israel, which has not confirmed nor denied the accusation.
