First Female Squadron Command Trainer at Air Force Flight School!

Last night, (Wednesday), Major Y. was appointed commander of the first fighter pilot squadron at the flight school.

Major Y. enlisted in the 165 pilot course in 2010 and completed it as a fighter pilot.
During her service, Major Y. performed a number of operational roles, including the first combat navigator who served as deputy commander of a combat squadron.

Major Y. is the first woman to be appointed a squadron commander at a flight school.
Y. will command a fighter pilot squadron at an advanced stage in a pilot course at the flight school.

As part of her role she will be a partner in training the next generation of Air Force crews.
