Ukrainian Land Forces Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi said “Klishchiivka was cleared of Russians”. Ukraine’s 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade released footage of troops holding up the Ukrainian flag in Klishchiivka. 

The mayor of Kherson Ihor Kolykhaiev, reported missing for over a year, is in Russian captivity. 

Kolykhaiev’s son said he contacted the Red Cross, which confirmed Kolykhaiev’s name was on a list of prisoners. 

US Army Gen. Mark Milley has said that a Ukrainian victory in the conflict is a “very high bar”. The top US Army General said a quick outcome to the war in Ukraine is unlikely, and a victory would take a “very long time”.
