Mansour Rassouli is a member of the Revolutionary Guards suspected of planning to assassinate an Israeli diplomat

The attempt was thwarted by the Mossad: he was arrested and taken for questioning in a European country

During his interrogation, he admitted that he was also sent to assassinate an American general in Germany and a journalist in France.

The planned terrorist attack in Istanbul joins previous Iranian attempts thwarted in Cyprus, Kenya, Turkey, Colombia and more.
