Surrounded by 454,832 heliostats, one of the world's highest solar power towers stands at 787 feet high in Israel's Ashalim power station - the heart of the Negev desert.

The solar energy power plant concentrates the sun's heat from thousands of small mirror reflectors onto a boiler mounted on top of the tower, which produces high-temperature steam to generate electricity.
