120 meter long cannabis growing tunnel was exposed, suspects were arrested and indictments will be filed today.
During an operation by police officers from the Ofakim and Border Police detective station, which took place on October 3, a 120-meter-long tunnel where hundreds of cannabis seedlings were grown was exposed under the floor of a farm housing unit in Moshav Amioz.
Three suspects were arrested, including a resident of the place, an illegal resident, a 32-year-old resident of Judea and Samaria, and a 26-year-old resident of Segev Shalom.
Police seized 461 cannabis plants and growing equipment.
The suspects' detention was extended, and today, at the end of the investigation by the Ofakim station investigators, the police prosecution - Negev - is expected to file indictments against two of the suspects.
Corporal Guy Weitz, Head of the Office of Investigations and Intelligence at Ofakim Station:
The Israel Police is waging a determined fight against the scourge of dangerous drugs, using a variety of forces and means at borders and localities, while striving to bring the suspects involved to justice and remove them from the public sphere.
