This week the weather is going to be hotter than usual, and at the end of the week extreme heat loads will prevail in most parts of the country. Today (Monday) the rise in temperatures will continue and the heaviness of heat loads will be felt. In the coastal plain there will be steam.
On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be no noticeable change in the weather and it will continue to be hot. On Thursday, the temperatures will rise even more and a slight increase in heat loads will be felt. In the mountains and in the interior of the country it will be hot and dry, and on the coastal plain it will be steamy. Heavy to extreme heat loads will prevail throughout the country.
The fire services throughout the country are carrying out assessment operations, following the early warning of heavy heat load in the southern Golan, the lower Galilee, the northern valleys, the slopes of the western Galilee, the Jordan Valley, the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea, the eastern Negev and the Arabah. Tomorrow, between 11:00 and 21:00, a heavy to extreme heat load is expected in these areas.
