The end of the planning phase and the start of work in the field for the transfer of IMI plants in the land division of Elbit Systems, to Ramat Beka in the Negev, began today (Tuesday) with the cornerstone laying ceremony in the presence of Defense Minister Bnei Gantz
The transfer of production activities to Elbit's technological complex in Ramat Beka will be completed towards the end of 2023. The new complex, with an area of 52,000 dunams, will include 150 buildings and technological centers, advanced production infrastructure, a set of testing stations and logistics systems. The plant will employ hundreds of workers and is expected to support about 2,000 additional jobs from suppliers in the area.
