Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked sent Monday personal letters to all the municipal heads in Israel, asking them to make special arrangements for the Jewish holidays in September in wake of increasing morbidity rates of Covid-19.

The minister requested readying outdoor areas for public prayers, for instance, putting up shading nets or installing air-conditioners.

“We are in the midst of a renewed outbreak of the coronavirus that may require all of us to adjust ourselves to hold prayers in a different way than usual,” Shaked wrote.
