The Iranian Threat
Iran's deadly weapon flooding the Middle East

The IDF Reveals Iranian Strategy for Introducing Thousands of Unmanned Aircraft Carrying Explosives and Extended Flight Range to the Area. In an interview with Walla!

The Houthis, with the assistance of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, carried out an attack on September 14, 2019, at 4:00 a.m., attacking the oil production facilities in the Abkayek field and the Khuris field of the Saudi company Aramco, one of the largest in the world.  The most prominent weapons in the attack were unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) carrying explosives made in Iran. The quality of the UAVs and the manner in which the attack was carried out stunned the intelligence community in Israel and the West.  The kind of events that make all the warning bells ring.

A critical intelligence-gathering effort by Unit 8200 and a qualitative analysis by the Armed Forces Research Division over the past year has revealed a clear Iranian strategy: to intensify the unmanned aircraft development and production project in Iran, promote parts and knowledge transfer to terrorist organizations in the Middle East including Hezbollah, militias and militias  And in Iraq, Houthis in Yemen, and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The IAF internalized the magnitude of the threat revealed with the help and intensified with the help of the Armed Forces and intelligence personnel, and began producing a targeted and operational technological response to unmanned aircraft made in Iran that can take off at distant ranges of 2,000 km, deceive the detection and alert system and attack with explosives.

Due to the navigational capabilities of the Iranian drones and the carrying capacity of tens of kilograms of explosives, the IDF likens them to accurate missiles.

Sources in the IDF explained that even when all kinds of UAVs are publicly publicized by the Iranians, the IAF needs to understand what is true and what is fake news. Iran has been caught many times making up fake news, and the IDF needs to know what is real and what is not.
