Almog Cohen of the Negev Rescue Committee warns that the Bedouin soldier who was discovered as a spy is not the only one
Last Thursday, the prosecution filed an indictment against Shehadeh Abu Alqian, a Bedouin soldier who was found to be a spy and a member of a terrorist organization.
Almog Cohen, coordinator of the Southern District of the Jewish Power Party and chairman of the Negev Rescue Committee, says in a conversation with the Jewish Voice that the discovery of the Bedouin spy within the ranks of the IDF does not surprise him.
"We are not surprised by this," says Cohen. You can be surprised by this thing. "
According to his conversations with intelligence agencies indicate that this is not an isolated case, and thorough inspections must be carried out before recruiting soldiers from the Bedouin sector to the IDF.
