Asharq Al-Awsat reports this morning that the Saudi-led Arab coalition said on Tuesday over 250 members of the Iran-backed Houthi militias have been killed in one of the largest operations carried out by the alliance in Yemen's Marib and al-Jawf provinces in the past 24 hours.
Twenty-nine Houthi vehicles were also destroyed in the operation that saw strikes on 40 targets by the coalition.
On Monday, the coalition said it had carried out accurate and precise strikes against legitimate military targets at Sanaa International Airport after the facility is being used by the Houthis for military purpose.
Coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki said the Houthis have exploited the international protection accorded to the airport in order to launch hostile and cross border attacks using ballistic missiles and armed drones.
These attacks have targeted Yemeni civilian locations and areas outside the country.
