The Israeli-Arab sector united on Friday in assistance efforts following the tragic disaster in Mount Meron that resulted in 45 deaths.
With the leadership of Tamra’s mayor, refreshment stations have opened to all those returning from Mount Meron to central and southern Israel. “Food, beverages and a place to refresh are waiting for every passerby,” Tamra municipal sources said.
The Druze villages of Hurfeish and Beit Jann have opened refreshment stations as well. Beit Jann council chief Radi Najam stressed that residents have opened their homes to offer help to anyone in need and are “prepared to receive those evacuated and families from the area of the disaster.”
