Professor Robert Dosay, Togo's foreign minister, surprised the participants in the reception for "Africa Day" last night (Tuesday), when at the end of his speech he burst onto the stage singing "Shma Yisrael". "I'm not a singer, but I'll end my remarks with a song," Dosey said and indeed burst into song, to the surprise of those present. 

The event took place at the Nigerian Ambassador to Israel, with the participation of dozens of ambassadors and diplomats from African countries serving in Israel.

Dossay, who is a big supporter of Israel, arrived in Israel on Friday and is expected to meet Foreign Minister Yair Lapid today.
