The Syrian Arab Air Defense Forces (SyAADF) intercepted a SPICE 1000 bomb during the Israeli airstrike on Homs on July 22.
The guided bomb was shot down by the SyAADF, over Lebanon. The remains of the bomb fell near the town of Lehfad - on Mount Lebanon, which is 80 km from the main target of the Israeli air attack, the Syrian Dabaa military airfield.
The SyAADF has previously intercepted Israeli SPICE 1000, including one intercepted near the Syrian capital Damascus in January 2019.
The Israeli attack on July 22 did not result in casualties. Nevertheless, Dabaa military airfield, which is now Hezbollah's main logistics center in Syria, has been severely damaged.
Israel appears to be planning to intensify its attacks on Syria. The July 22 attack was the second attack that week. The first, aimed at a number of positions in the eastern province of Aleppo in northern Syria, took place on July 19.
