The chancellor of Austria objects to let refugees from Afghanistan get into Austria. Since the UN is having a hard time forming a policy about the refugees' matter over the last years, Austria has stated that letting them in is not an option.

Kurtz, rose to chancellor position in 2017 by his conservative approach to the refugees, since in 2015 Austria allowed for a great number of shelter seekers through its gates in the value of over 1% of  Austria's population.
