During an interview with CNN early Monday, Tennessee Democrat Representative Steve Cohen (D-TN) discussed ongoing debt ceiling negotiations, while also labeling Republicans as ‘terrorists’ for their commitment to fiscal responsibility.
Moreover, Republicans have taken issue with the White House’s negotiation strategy. They claim that the White House, under President Biden’s leadership, altered its offer in the midst of the negotiations. The White House is looking to spend more than the amount spent in the previous year, a move they believe is irresponsible considering the size of the current deficit.
