The United States has asked the Palestinian Authority and Israel to open a joint investigation into the killing of a journalist in Jenin. Israel has made it clear that it is ready for this investigation, and even together with the United States. The Palestinians, on the other hand, have not yet given an answer. 

Lapid spoke again with the Palestinian Authority's Minister of Civil Affairs and suggested that he conduct a joint investigation. The United States fears that the incident could lead to a further deterioration in security in Judea and Samaria.
