Bahrain’s Jews Worship in Public, First Time in Decades

Thanks to the Abraham Accords, Bahrain’s Jewish community no longer has to hide its faith.

For decades, Bahrain’s tiny Jewish community, about 50 people, had to practice their faith behind closed doors. Their synagogue was destroyed during the turbulent time just prior to the establishment of the State of Israel.

However, thanks to the historic Abraham Accords that were signed a year ago, Jews in the Gulf country are holding prayer services publicly at the renovated synagogue for the first time since 1947.

It’s the new Middle East!
