For several days this week, the good and bad forces in the region will face each other: on the one hand, the United States and its allies, the moderate Sunni states and Israel alongside them, who will participate in meetings hosted by President Biden during his visit; On the other hand, Russia and Iran, along with Turkey, which will be convened as part of President Putin's visit to Tehran.
It is difficult to know whether the summit in Tehran is a direct response to the summit in Jeddah, or an event planned by chance in close proximity to times. It also does not really matter; Russia has positioned itself completely and definitively as the leader of world evil, and more importantly for Israel, it thereby neutralizes Iran's attempts to present a beautiful face.
Even those who were naive enough to believe that Iran actually wants to return to the family of nations will this week receive evidence of where it really is: a leading actor on the axis who openly threatens the peace and security of the world.
