BREAKING NEWS: Meretz MK resigns from the coalition!

Meretz MK Gidaa Rinawi Zoabi dropped a bombshell today (Thursday) and sent a letter to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid resigning from the coalition.

"I entered politics out of a sense of mission towards the Arab society I represent - I encountered complete opacity towards the real needs from the coalition".

What does this mean to the government? Will it cause new elections? Does this mean just a smaller majority? Some context would be nice. A reader from the USA.
