Farmers Sing Prayers in the Holy Land
As we bring in the new year, we also celebrate the Shmitta year: farmers across Israel give their fields and farms a year of rest and rejuvenation. It is one of the few Mitzvot, commandments, that can only be carried out in the land of Israel.

On Erev Rosh Hashana in the fields of Shalabim near Modiin, the farmers sing words found in the Tefillah, prayers, of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur as they depart from their fields.
