The Javier al-Thura militia announced that the United States of America had provided them with a HIMARS guided rocket system, in what many saw as a clear message to Russia.
The militia said that "the launch of the missile proved the skills of the fighters and their ability to protect the residents of the area from any attack."
Many saw this as a direct American response to the Russian attack on militia facilities in the al-Tanf area last month.
For several days, the militia conducted joint military exercises with U.S. forces in the al-Tanf area, which included demonstrating various military capabilities, including sniping and face-to-face combat.
They also conducted missile and rocket fire of various types during the training, in addition to training to prepare military plans.
