The State of Israel, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and in collaboration with the Volcani Institute, joined the International Convention for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Plant Genetic Resources for Food Production and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
