On Thursday, the recruitment of male and female fighters for the "Panther" battalion will begin, which is expected to become operational in July. The forces are expected to carry out many ambushes to catch Palestinians trying to enter Israel illegally.

Most of the activity of the battalion's forces will be ambushes for the purpose of capturing infiltrators. The battalion will receive new means of observation, "tactical deception" items designed for camouflage in open, built-up and wooded areas, drones, and fast off-road vehicles.
