“The police were totally taken by surprise and forced to flee. In several cases, the police were forced to abandon their police cars.”
How could the police possibly have been taken by surprise in this case? Rasmus Paludan is a known critic of Islam, and that he may have planned to burn a Qur’an at this one. Didn’t they realize there would be a violent reaction? They must spend all their free time imbibing “Islam is a religion of peace” propaganda.
Anyway, they fled. What will Sweden be like in ten years? Twenty?
“Koran riots in Linköping – police flee when police car is set on fire: ‘We have backed away,'” translated from “Korankravaller i Linköping – poliser flyr när polisbil sticks i brand: ‘Vi har backat undan,'” Samnytt, April 14, 2022:
There is anarchy in Skäggetorp in Linköping. A police car has been set on fire, several police cars have been vandalized, city police have been forced to flee the scene and immigrant gangs have seized police uniforms.
“We have backed away,” says police spokeswoman Åsa Willsund to Samnytt.
During Thursday afternoon, riots broke out in the “vulnerable area” Skäggetorp in Linköping. The igniting spark was the Danish politician Rasmus Paludan, who planned a demonstration in the immigrant-dense district. Paludan has made himself known for burning copies of the Koran – the holy book of Muslims -during his demonstrations.
However, the demonstration, which coincides in time with the Muslim fasting month “Ramadan,” was never held. Instead, violent riots broke out in the district. The police were totally taken by surprise and forced to flee. In several cases, the police were forced to abandon their police cars.
“We have backed away now. We are nearby, but there is no direct confrontation now,” police spokeswoman Åsa Willund tells Samnytt.
“Several police cars have been damaged,” she states.
Do you have any information on how many? “No, not yet.”
