Is there a breakthrough in relations between the Biden administration and Saudi Arabia? The American media reports that the Pentagon recently transferred a considerable number of Patriot missile batteries to the kingdom following an urgent request from the Saudis. 

As you may recall, only last September did the Americans remove the Patriot batteries from the Saudi Sultan base even though the Saudis insisted that the system was critical for them in the face of repeated attacks from Yemen. In the last two days these attacks have intensified.

The return of the Patriot to the protection of Saudi Arabia's sky may indicate a closer rapprochement between the US and the Saudis.
